Prop 65

California’s Proposition 65, Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, also known as “Prop 65,” lists chemicals known to the State of California to cause birth defects, cancer or other reproductive harm. This law requires companies doing business in California to provide a clear and reasonable warning before knowingly exposing anyone to a listed chemical unless the business is exempted, or can show that exposure level will not pose a significant risk.
